God the Provider

Soria Family

Today, on Resurrection Sunday, we praise God for His accepted sacrifice, the sacrifice that paid our “wage” … He has PROVIDED for us!!! Yesterday when I took this picture I was reminded of that truth, GOD OUR PROVIDER!!!

Yesterday, I arrived at the Ebenezer Boy’s Home to drop off a donation of vegetables that had been sent for them…. The first thing I saw was a piece of a palm branch, tied outside their gate… a reminder of EASTER and its meaning to us…

I was overwhelmed with God’s love and mercy…. GOD THE PROVIDER…. He loves us so much He sent His Son to die on the cross to pay the price of our sins.... Praise God… That love and mercy so intricate, so complex…. SO amazing, so personal, that God the Provider, looks down and sees these boys... And provides for their needs...

Update From the Soria Family

Soria Family

April finds Bolivia in a “national health emergency” with a forced “lock down” in an attempt to slow the wave of coronavirus that could very quickly overwhelm our health system. Although “quarantine” in Bolivia sounds equivalent to lots of extra time, somehow with Keiden and Marlee keeping up with the schoolwork their teachers send, just regular life (cooking and cleaning) and trying to coordinate/communicate with our El Jordan family, time flies by…

We are healthy (Marlee had dengue for a week but is better now) and able to buy what we need… This crisis is not isolated to our corner of the world, and our hearts are heavy for so many fighting this battle, remembering that each patient, doctor, nurse, victim… has a NAME, a FAMILY, and is not just a number that pops up on a screen.

Please pray with us as we search for ways that God would have us respond and reach out to our people in the midst of this crisis.

Pray for Leyla

First of all…. the way I normally send my emails isn't working…. so PLEASE FORGIVE ME IF YOU GET THIS MORE THAN ONCE.... or if you aren't supposed to be on this list and are.... When I get back to Bolivia my normal lists should work again!!!!

On June 4th, Keiden, Marlee and I left Bolivia to visit family, friends and ministry partners… We had to say goodbye to Marco, who is holding down the fort in Bolivia. He still isn’t allowed into North America (We are allowed to try again to get his visa in another year… so we are praying for a miracle!!!)

We’ve had wonderful visits in the Toronto area, Vancouver area, Washington, Montana and now Calgary…. We have one more stop in Winnipeg before we leave for Bolivia on July 12th (and arrive home really early on July 14th)… There were quite a few people we missed seeing… and other spots we just couldn’t get to… but hopefully next time we will see you!!!!!

A Redeemed Journey - June 2019

El Jordan

Its mid June and most of North America is planning their summer vacations... I too am planning July and August adventures! Some already know (most I actually I think), but this N.A. summer (Bolivian winter) I will be traveling to Canada to visit some of you and share in a couple of churches... We at El Jordan have some exciting news to share with you and I hope to be able to do so in person...

This year "Discipleship" has been running through my heart and head. What it means, entails, how to do it etc... Taking a look at El Jordan, I have sat many times thinking what's our next move, what changes do we have to do for excellence, for that race towards Christ... One word keeps coming back time and time again "Discipleship".
